A diagnostic ultrasound uses sound waves to create images of the body. These images reveal structures within the body that help Dr. Jaligam diagnose certain diseases. We perform the ultrasound with a handheld wand placed on the body. We guide the wand across the skin while a corresponding image appears on a screen. Dr. Jaligam uses this image with the wands movements to take a deeper look into your body.

About Diagnostic Ultrasounds
Performed with a handheld device, diagnostic ultrasounds employ sound waves that allow us to look inside the body. These sound waves produce images that display functions within the body that we monitor and analyse. Dr. Jaligam uses ultrasound in Vienna to uncover ailments within the body.

An ideal candidate is anyone experiencing pain or swelling in the body. At Jaggu Health, we provide ultrasounds in Vienna to new and existing patients. After your consultation, we can develop a basic understanding of your needs and if further exploration is needed.
Patients with implanted devices like pacemakers are not good candidates for ultrasound. Dr. Jaligam can recommend an alternative service to uncover your health needs.
Our diagnostic ultrasound is a service with no special requirements. It’s recommended to dress in comfortable clothing. Typically, we provide a gown for your comfort during the service.
Ultrasound is a safe and noninvasive procedure. Unlike similar body scans, ultrasound uses no radiation. The service is quick, painless, and yields useful results.
While the service is valuable, ultrasound has limitations. Sound waves don’t travel well through bones. Ultrasound is also limited in the depth of its reach. An X-ray or a CT scan will typically yield better results for things like bone scans. When you visit with Dr. Jaligam, he will recommend the appropriate service for your health needs.
You can receive results of your ultrasound that same day as your service. Dr. Jaligam looks over the images and sits down with you. He explains his findings and takes his time, making sure you understand the state of your health.
